…who has especially done some customer pioneering as a CMO in the home improvement sector, re-framing the decisions to buy as all about projects not products, recognising that you could grow share by becoming part of the project’s planning stage ahead of purchase, and that this was usually initiated by women not men, although the businesses were very male orientated. So she set about changing multiple aspects of the customer offer and experience to earn these different decisions from different people. She has also gained great pioneering experience as CEO of Start, a (then) Prince of Wales sustainability and business initiative, and in recent years as a NED for a range of customer pioneering organisations such as Coventry Building Society, Welsh Water and the BACS payments scheme.
