Vernon Everitt

…one of the leaders of Transport for London over the last 14 years as they went on a classic customer pioneering journey against a competitor in the shape of the car. They have made the whole of London’s public transport and active travel network more attractive to Londoners by making it feel safe and attractive, easier to use and to navigate, responsive to issues and easy to pay for in ways that are trusted. He also pioneered in the sharing of open data with developers, leading to a host of successful apps such as Citymapper that make the transport system yet more user-friendly. Building on TfL's success, Vernon is now working with Andy Burnham to integrate transport in Greater Manchester too.
